Something unseen has begun preying on those who travel the lonely paths near Gath Tekul. Hunters vanish without a cry. Caravan guards are found days later, curled into impossible shapes, their bodies desiccated and hollow. Lanterns flicker strangely in the March after dark—stretching shadows into twisted angles that don’t match the ground beneath them. Gath Tekul calls for aid, desperate to learn what stalks the March

This seed pod feels slick and slimy to the touch. You can throw it up to 6 squares. Upon landing on solid ground, the pod rapidly grows into a roughly star-shaped, gelatinous, fungal growth in a 2-square radius. If you throw the pod on a square of soil or plant life, it grows into 4-square radius instead. Any Medium or smaller creature caught within the burst must make a DC 13 STR saving throw. If a creature fails to save, it becomes grappled (DC 13 to escape). Any creature that enters the burst must also make a saving throw with the same effect. The Star Jelly dissolves into harmless goo after one minute.

Broom of Flying

This wooden broom, which weighs 3 pounds, functions like a mundane broom until you stand astride it and speak its command word. It then hovers beneath you and can be ridden in the air. It has a flying speed of 50 feet. It can carry up to 400 pounds, but its flying speed becomes 30 feet while carrying over 200 pounds. The broom stops hovering when you land. You can send the broom to travel alone to a destination within 1 mile of you if you speak the command word, name the location, and are familiar with that place. The broom comes back to you when you speak another command word, provided that the broom is still within 1 mile of you.

To that end, he found and trapped the essence of several different primordial beings, storing them within the maul. In an act of defiance, the energies within have become stubbornly impossible to control. The story goes that the warrior perished when it suddenly began shooting fire, just as he stumbled upon a red dragon. While attuned, at the end of every short or long rest, roll 1d4. If a second spell is ever cast into the ring while a spell is stored, the original stored spell is lost.
