The Dwarvish City of Tharkad-Kûl was once the richest city in any realm. Blessed with veins of silver, gold, iron, mithril, adamant, and even rarer materials it would have prospered with just these blessings. But it also sat astride the crossroads of two major trade routes through the mountains. A trading city grew up at its gates. Abundant streams above and below powered the forges. The pasturage along the gentle flanks of Tharkad-Kûl thronged with fat flocks of sheep, goats, alpacas, and llamas. Truly a blessed realm …. Until it wasn’t
